HGV 2 Driver

Streamline Recruitment are looking for 6X HGV 2 drivers for our client based in Dagenham, Essex delivering fresh produce around the country, on a Temp to Perm basis.

• This is a temp to perm position
• Shift pattern – Tuesday to Saturday with a 6^th shift every 4 weeks (Usually a Monday)
• Day and Night drivers required

            -Days - 0400-0600am starts

             -Nights - 1930 to 2000pm starts

• 9-10 hour days on average
  
   

THE JOB:

• Deliveries are predominantly Central London but have customers all over the country. Could go to Yarmouth, Norwich, Cambridge, Brighton, Kent, Essex, Luton, Stevenage, ETC.
• Maximum Drops- 10-15 (On a busy day)
• Handball involved- must be physically fit.
• Will be required to take cages into restaurants (Even to fridges and freezers in the clients kitchens) - These will all be picked on pallets by the warehouse team
• Training is required and will be provided in the first few weeks. 
• HGV Drivers must be willing to occasionally do Van work where necessary, but they WILL be paid on HGV Rate.
• Drivers tend to be on the same routes and liaising with the same customers day in and day out - You will be trained on more than one route to cover holiday for other drivers, and vice versa if you are on holiday. (Flexibility required)

TRAINING: 

• Small test required to test your knowledge on Working time directive and driver hours
• Drivers will then go over to do an hours driving assessment
• They then proceed with an interview, learn more about the job.
• Training is paid (1^st week training is classroom based and the next 2 weeks will be going out with experienced drivers to learn the job.

EXPERIENCE:

• No insurance offenses, no drink and drug offenses,
• Speeding - Max 6 points - no major endorsements
• 2 years’ experience is preferable but may be willing to accept less
• All English Licenses required.

PAYMENT:

Paye and Umbrella company accepted:

• Paye - £16.22 basic - overtime £24.33
• UMB - £18.38 basic - overtime £27.67
