Transport Planner

Are you organized, work well under pressure with experience in transport planning? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading company specializing in waste management services, based in Epping. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in coordinating the logistics for a company at the forefront of environmental management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Determine the appropriate number and types of vehicles needed to handle various jobs, both planned and reactive.
• Plan driver assignments across scheduled works and reactive emergency call-outs.
• Maintain and manage the fleet, including vehicle maintenance, inspections, and replacements as necessary.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to waste collection and transportation, maintaining a high level of service quality.
• Monitor transport activities, respond to any issues or delays, and adjust plans as needed.
• Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 3 or 4 weeks) to address any out-of-hours transport issues, with additional on-call pay of £300 per shift.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Transport Planner or in a similar role within the logistics or waste management sector.
• Flexibility to manage on-call duties as part of the role.

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 (Plus £3,600 On-Call Pay)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 17:30 (with on-call duty 1 in 3 or 4 weeks)
