Position Overview

 My client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in London. As a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading mechanical design projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Project Leadership: Take a lead role in managing and delivering innovative mechanical design solutions for a range of building projects, from concept to completion.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize your extensive knowledge and experience in mechanical engineering to drive excellence in design and performance.
• Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and establish strong, lasting relationships.
• Team Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused team environment.
• Sustainability Focus: Incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient principles into mechanical design, contributing to our commitment to environmentally responsible engineering.
• Innovation: Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and contribute to our continuous improvement efforts.
   

Qualifications

 

•  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
•  Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation.
•  Proven experience in mechanical design engineering for building services.
•  Proficiency in relevant software and design tools.
•  Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
